House in Valthermond, the Netherlands
My parents' house, built by Henk Smit in Valthermond, the Netherlands.
Valthermond is a ribbon village in the municipality of Borger-Odoorn, in the southeast of the Dutch province of Drenthe.
The history of the village goes back to 1853 and is linked to the peat. The hamlet of Kavelingen also falls under the village. If one takes this into account, it can be said that the village is 10.7 kilometers long. The Zuiderdiep village street is 8.3 km long.
Valthermond has Second Exloërmond, Valthe, New-Weerdinge and Musselkanaal as neighboring villages.
