Mirlo Gate Lodge Tower in California

Mirlo Gate Lodge Tower, the stone tower was built in 1926 as a house for the guard at the closed entrance of what would later become the area known as Valmonte, in Palos Verdes. Of course the gate was never closed. But the guardhouse is still standing on a hill on the outskirts of Torrance. The building is owned by the city and the tower is rented out as a private home.
