Portugal farm architecture
A granary or a Horreo in the southern countries, for example in the Spanish region of Asturias, Galicia and Leon. Horreos are detached buildings built of wood or stone and placed on poles, this is to protect against moisture and vermin. The walls are ventilation openings. The word Horreo from the Latin means horreum, warehouse, shed, shed or warehouse.
