House in Giethoorn, a water village
Giethoorn is a water village in the head of Overijssel and lies between Steenwijk and Meppel.
The village has 2620 inhabitants and is known for its bridges, waterways and punts.
It is called the â€Dutch Veniceâ€. Giethoorn is elongated and consists of three neighborhoods that are always staggered from each other.
The farms and houses are separated by ditches on which platforms lie that connect the house plots.
