Hobbinton village

Thanks to Peter Jackson, the director of the rings, fantasy was born in reality. Here, next to Matamata, the complete village of Hobbitton was built on the landscape of the valleys. They made the landscape, the inns, the bridges, everything. After the recordings they decided to keep this site and open it to tourists. In New Zealand, a total of 148 locations were filmed during the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit, but perhaps this is the most fascinating of all. On the one hand, because the whole story begins here in the Valley, and on the other side a real village has been built here.
