Round rack mill in Holland
The Widde Meuln is a round rack mill. The position is the wooden tower on top of a (usually) stone substructure. Stelling mills are therefore up to 12 meters higher than ground sailors. Ground sailors are mills whose blades almost touch the ground. Shelving mills are usually in built-up areas. There is more height needed to catch enough wind. Ground sailors are in the open field.
