House in Tudor style

Considered a step up from the English cottage, a Tudor home is made from brick and/or stucco with decorative half timbers exposed on the exterior and interior of the home. Steeply pitched roofs, rubblework masonry and long rows of casement windows give these homes drama. The Tudor architectural style is the final development of Medieval architecture in England, during the Tudor period (1485–1603) and even beyond, and also the tentative introduction of Renaissance architecture to England.
