An former acetylene gas plant
The house was built in 1905 by German workers in a typical style for border areas with predominantly German settlements.
It was an acetylene gas plant that supplied the gas to twelve nearby residential houses.
It was built in a suitably chosen and safe place, in a relatively narrow ravine where, in the event of an explosion, it would not endanger the inhabited houses in the village. But for the original purpose it only served about twenty years.
Graficke pÃsmeno Sde current owner Richard Franek bought the building in 2003 in a rather impoverished state. The building was saved from destruction and carefully rebuilt. Nowadays, the stone building is used as a guest house and is frequently visited by foreign customers.
