Gatehouse of Clamis castle in Scotland
This castle is near the village of Glamis in Angus, Scotland. It is the home of the count and the Countess of Strathmore and Kinghorne.
The Glamis castle is the home of the Lyons family since the fourteenth century, although the current house dates largely from the seventeenth century. It was the home of Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, who married King George VI, and thus became Queen Elizabeth, the later Queen Mother. Her second daughter, Princess Margaret, was born here.
