The Drents-Friese Wold National Park is a large continuous nature reserve on the border of the Dutch provinces of Friesland and Drenthe. The more than 61 kmĀ² national park consists of forest, heath and drifting sands.
Important places on the edges of the park are the villages of Appelscha and the braided village of Noordwolde in Southeast Friesland and Doldersum, Diever, Hoogersmilde, Wapse and Vledder in Drenthe.
